It's essential to seek guidance from professionals and connect with other parents facing similar challenges. Implementing routines can significantly help in managing sleep schedules and mealtime. Additionally, creating a calm environment can reduce the likelihood of meltdowns. Consider exploring therapies tailored to your child's unique needs. Resources such as local support groups or online forums provide invaluable advice and a sense of community. Engaging in discussions with other parents can offer insights into effective strategies that worked for their children. Remember, you're not alone. Sharing experiences about your child’s behaviors, preferences, and triggers can lead to discovering new ways to tackle day-to-day challenges effectively. Don’t hesitate to reach out for help—accepting support is a strength, not a weakness. Together, we can create a nurturing environment that promotes growth and development for our children.

I think it’s so important to keep a tight schedule for him. I found that when toddlers with autism can expect what is happening next, it helps prevent the meltdowns.

So I’m a kid/teen but my older brother has autism. Just be patient really it’s hard and they can say or do bad/mean things but just know they don’t mean it. They can’t help it and they try their best to do the best they can! (He thinks it’s embarrassing for a 15 year old to use fidget toys but I he uses them.
