not mine! (Richie and Finney mentioned?🥹)

... Read moreHey everyone! 👋 Can we just talk about Finney Blake and Robin Arellano from The Black Phone for a second? Seriously, their dynamic is one of the most compelling parts of the entire movie for me. When I first watched it, I was immediately drawn to their friendship, and it's something I keep coming back to. Robin, with his undeniable courage and street smarts, acts like a protector for Finney. He’s the one who stands up to bullies, giving Finney a sense of security that he rarely finds elsewhere. It's not just physical protection; Robin also gives Finney advice and a moral compass, encouraging him to fight back and stand up for himself. That scene where Robin tells Finney, 'You gotta fight for yourself,' totally resonated with me. It’s a powerful message, and it shows just how much Robin cares. Even though he's a bit rough around the edges, his heart is clearly in the right place, especially when it comes to Finney. And Finney, in turn, deeply looks up to Robin. You can see the admiration and trust in his eyes. Their bond isn't just about Robin being the strong one; it’s a mutual connection built on understanding and respect. It's heartbreaking to see Finney struggling after Robin's disappearance, but that struggle also highlights the profound impact Robin had on him. Robin's spirit continues to guide Finney, offering him strength through the black phone, which just makes their connection feel even more epic and almost supernatural. A lot of people in the fandom, myself included, have endlessly debated the depth of their relationship. Was it just a really strong friendship, or was there an unspoken bond that was even deeper? Regardless of how you interpret it, their loyalty to each other is undeniable. It's a testament to how crucial positive relationships are, especially in such dark circumstances. Their story makes you think about who your own 'Robin' would be in a tough situation. What are your favorite Finney and Robin moments? For me, it has to be any scene where Robin is giving Finney advice or stepping in to defend him. It just shows how much he believed in Finney, even when Finney didn't believe in himself. Their bond is a classic example of how two characters can elevate each other's journeys, and it's definitely why The Black Phone stuck with me long after the credits rolled. Let me know what you think!
