Here’s some of the many reasons I no longer support Donald Trump:
1. Convictions / Legal Findings Against Donald Trump
Legal Convictions
• 34 Felony Convictions (May 30, 2024):
Convicted in New York state court on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records related to a hush-money scheme involving payments to adult film actress Stormy Daniels tied to the 2016 election. 
• This conviction made him the first U.S. president or former president ever convicted of a crime. 
Indictments / Charging Cases (Not Convictions)
Trump has faced other criminal charges — but not been convicted in these cases:
• Federal Classified Documents Case (2023–24):
Charged with 40 felony counts related to mishandling classified documents; case dismissed by the judge. 
• Federal Election Obstruction Case (2023–24):
Charged with conspiracy to defraud the U.S. and obstruct election certification; charges dismissed due to presidential immunity and DOJ policy. 
• Georgia RICO / Election Racketeering Indictment:
Charges were dropped in late 2025 after changes in prosecution leadership. 
👉 Important legal distinction: Indictments and charges are not convictions. Trump pleaded not guilty in all federal and Georgia cases and has appeals pending in others.

As of current public releases:
• Epstein files include references to Trump’s name in communications and listings noted by prosecutors, including travel logs showing Trump on Epstein’s flights and mentions in DOJ file releases. 
• Epstein emails released to Congress included correspondence referencing Trump. 
• Multiple news reports note Trump’s name appearing “multiple times” in Epstein-related Department of Justice files, although no credible evidence in released documents has tied Trump to Epstein’s crimes. 
• Trump publicly denies any visits to Epstein’s private island and asserts he severed contact years before Epstein’s criminal cases.

• Trump has made public comments mocking or dismissing transgender athletes and issues — for example, impersonating a trans athlete and commenting on trans participation in sports. 
📜 Policies / Actions
• As president, rolled back diversity, equity, and inclusion programs and rescinded policies that provided federal protections against discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation. 
• Removal of “transgender” references from government and National Park Service pages (including the Stonewall National Monument website) has been widely criticized as erasing trans identities. 
• His administration has also been associated with removal of LGBTQI+ resource pages and restrictions on transgender health care access (some blocked by courts). 
4. Widely Discussed Racist or Racially Charged Remarks
Trump has made remarks widely perceived or labeled as racially insensitive or racist by news outlets and critics:
• Suggesting that Kamala Harris “became a Black person” in comments widely reported and condemned. 
• His 2015 refusal to immediately disavow David Duke and KKK support — and subsequent back-and-forth about knowing about it — attracted extensive criticism as racially charged rhetoric. 
• Long-standing civil rights complaints against his real estate practices in the 1970s suggest discriminatory patterns in housing rentals (sometimes cited in critiques of Trump’s racial attitudes).
