History: construction of this site began in 1539.
It served as a protection site to protect the city of San Juan from any sea attacks from opposing countries. It was used again during WWII to protect the U.S and to track movement of German Submarines
DOWNTOWN SAN JUAN

History: San Juan is the capital and most famous tourist spot in all of Puerto Rico. It was found by Spanish colonists in 1521 who called it āCity of Puerto Rico.ā
There are many things to do in San Juan like shopping, eating, touring el morro, and other attractions!
LA PERLA (IN San Juan)
Entry fee: $0
History: La Perla was built initially in the 18th century but is most popularly known due to its feature in āDespacito.ā The reason I do NOT recommend entering La Perla is because it is a neighborhood full of regular people and that is invasion of privacy. Lots of crimes happen in La Perla and there is a strict rule of NO RECORDING for many reasons.
CASTILLO SERRALLES
Location: Ponce, Puerto Rico
Entry Fee: $15
History: This home was built in the 1930s and belonged to Ponceās Destileria Serralles, one of Puerto Rico's largest rum distilleries. This castle was once also home to Puerto Rico's largest sugar-factory called Central Mercedita, producers of the Snow White sugar brand. Another interesting fact is that this castle was used in Disneyās Princess Protection Program starring Selena Gomez & Demi Lovato!
PARQUE DE BOMBAS
Location: Ponce, Puerto Rico
Entry Fee:
History: Parque De Bombas was Ponceās official firehouse built in 1882. This firehouse has many old fashioned fire trucks, tools, and gear, all preserved from the 1800s - 1900s.
CATHEDRAL NUESTRA SEĆORA DE GUADALUPE:
Entry fee: $0
Location: Ponce, Puerto Rico
History: This church dates back to 1670 but has been damaged many times throughout the years due to fires and earthquakes. It was built as a small chapel for the colonial settlement of Ponce. It has a beautiful Gothic & neoclassical style to it!
