i do not regret stopping these things!!✝️🤍⬇️
1️⃣ Entertainment & Music that did not Honor God.
“i will set no wicked thing before my eyes.” - psalm 101:3
i became mindful of what i was taking in visually and spiritually. whether this was tv shows, movies, and especially music, i realized if God is not the focus and it is not leading me closer to Him & aligning with His word, why am i consuming it?
2️⃣ Toxic Relationships.
"do not be misled: 'bad company corrupts good character!" - 1 corinthians 15:33
I began distancing myself from friends & relationships that did not bring me closer to God but instead led me closer to sin, drained me, and distanced me from the love He wanted me to share with others.
3️⃣ Fear & Worry.
"do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." - philippians 4:6
I let go of the constant fear & worry about what was going to happen next in my life or where i was supposed to go to next in my journey with God and let God as my father take my hand and walk me through life & lead me towards the direction he wanted me to go in. I began trusting that Gods plan is much more greater than my own.
4️⃣ Worldy Validation.
"for am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God?"
- galatians 1:10
I stopped focusing on whether i was fit enough for others liking and focused on His glory and whether or not he would take me as i am. Who i am is not rooted in the world, it is rooted in Christ and that is all that matters.
5️⃣ Negative Talk & Gossip.
"let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up." - ephesians 4:29
I distanced myself from engaging in gossip & complaining about every inconvenience in my life & began focusing on the bright side of things. Instead of complaining about going to school i began praising God for allowing me to have the chance to attend. Instead of gossip i began speaking life, encouragement, & truth over myself and others.

As women of faith, it's vital to nurture our spiritual well-being by making intentional choices about what we accept into our lives. One key aspect involves evaluating the entertainment we consume—aiming for content that uplifts and honors God rather than detracts from our spiritual journey. Likewise, distancing ourselves from toxic relationships allows us to embrace genuine connections that foster love and kindness, which reflect Christ's teachings. Letting go of fear and worry can be transformative; by replacing anxiety with trust in God, we open ourselves to His guidance and unwavering love. Philippians 4:6 encourages us to present our worries to Him, allowing peace to prevail over doubts. Furthermore, seeking validation from the world can lead to feelings of inadequacy, diverting our focus from God's acceptance. Remember, our identity is rooted in Christ, and that is where our self-worth should lie. Additionally, choosing positive speech over negative talk and gossip can uplift both ourselves and those around us. Engaging in constructive communication can profoundly change our environments and relationships. Adopting these changes not only enriches our lives but also deepens our connection with God, leading to a fulfilling spiritual journey. Explore ways to incorporate these principles into your daily routine to foster a closer relationship with Him.
