My vanity is little dirty & weird but I can’t beat the allegations! 😅#alternative
Vanity routines don't always have to fit a conventional mold—sometimes, embracing what makes yours a little 'dirty and weird' can add charm and authenticity to your self-care ritual. In my experience as someone who embraces the alternative lifestyle and plus-size identity, shifting the focus from perfection to personalization turns vanity into a form of personal expression rather than obligation. When I say my vanity is a bit unconventional, I mean that it includes everything from bold makeup choices to using products that may not be on the typical beauty influencer’s radar. This alternative approach allows me to challenge the societal standards of beauty and embrace my individuality. It's about owning what feels right for me, which often means mixing styles, colors, and routines that others might find quirky but that make me feel empowered. For anyone feeling pressured to conform to mainstream beauty ideals, I encourage trying out alternative products or DIY treatments that speak to your personal tastes. Often, this leads to discovering unique methods that boost confidence and self-love rather than just following trends. Whether it’s layering bold lip colors unapologetically or incorporating unconventional skincare remedies, the key is to enjoy the process and laugh at the imperfections along the way. This perspective ties back to the hashtag #alternative because beauty and vanity are deeply personal and cultural. By embracing the alternative, we create space for diversity in how people present themselves, which is essential for fostering inclusivity and self-acceptance in the beauty community overall.

This one is gorgeous! i had one. They had a big round mirror but when we're moving from el paso, texas to san tonio, texas hit fell off the truck. my daughter, she's so sweet. She went and asked my mom and dad to pick up what they could one of the outsides of drawers made it, and they used the rest of the wood to frame another mirror for me. It's a lot smaller, but it's beautiful. And it was the sentiment behind it. as for why we all have them, I don't know 😂 which is still, and it makes sense all of our abuelitas and tia's have them, so we keep the tradition alive. i literally made 2 miniature ones for my nieces. When they were about it's six or seven. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 i love that you noticed that.❤️
