Fortnite. Gotta love a clean elim with a shotty
Nothing is more satisfying in Fortnite when you jump and land a perfect headshot with a shotgun to keep your team in the game when they are all down. I still cannot wait till the my being the havoc shotgun to Fortnite battle royal zero build. What is everyone’s favorite shotgun of all time. Please let me know in the comments also let me know how you are liking the newest season. I just had my first child so I have not played it much hence lack of clips of it. But so far I think it has been a lot of fun. #fortnite #unfiltered #crypticskyye #gamergirl #youtuber
While my heart will always have a special place for those satisfying shotgun headshots – seriously, nothing beats seeing that '1000 Shotgun damage' pop up after a clean elim – I know a true Fortnite champion needs more than just close-range power. To really dominate, especially in Zero Build, you absolutely have to master your assault rifle for mid-range gameplay. It's the backbone of most engagements, whether you're pushing a team or defending your position. I've spent countless hours practicing my aim, and let me tell you, finding the right assault rifle and knowing how to use it in different scenarios makes all the difference. For example, the Havoc AR, when it’s in the loot pool, is a beast for sustained fire, perfect for shredding opponents' shields before they can even react. But sometimes, I prefer something like the Red-Eye Assault Rifle for its precision, letting me tap-fire for accurate shots even at a distance. It's all about finding what clicks with your playstyle. When it comes to mid-range assault rifle gameplay, a few tips have really leveled up my game. First, always try to use burst fire instead of holding down the trigger, especially if your target is moving. This helps manage recoil and keeps your shots tighter. Second, positioning is everything. Always look for high ground or solid cover. Peeking out just enough to get your shots off, then ducking back, makes you a much harder target. I’ve seen so many players just stand in the open, and that’s a quick trip back to the lobby! Third, practice your tracking. This means keeping your crosshair on a moving target as they try to evade. It’s tough, but aim training maps in creative mode can seriously help. I used to struggle with this, but after a few dedicated sessions, I started knocking opponents down with my AR much more consistently. There’s no better feeling than getting that 'KNOCKED DOWN' notification from a perfectly placed mid-range spray. Another thing I've learned is to recognize when to switch. Sometimes, you'll soften an enemy up with your AR at mid-range, get them low on health, and that's your cue to push with your shotgun for the finish. Or, if they're trying to escape across the 'SANDS' of a desert biome, your AR is your best friend for chasing them down. It’s all about combining your weapon strengths. I know the original post was all about shotguns, and I totally get that satisfaction. But trust me, once you get the hang of consistent mid-range assault rifle gameplay, your overall Fortnite experience will just soar. It opens up so many more opportunities for eliminations and makes you a much more versatile player. What are your favorite ARs to run in Zero Build, and what mid-range tactics do you swear by?
