Creating in grief
There is so much pain that comes with today. A year ago I lost my mom, and it has not gotten any easier. Looking back on these videos is so difficult because I had no idea that that was the last day I would not have to experience grief every single day of my life. I have used jewelry making as an outlet and a way to heal, but I have realized that that sort of hurt will always stay with me.
"You don’t move on after loss, but you must move with. You must shake hands with grief, welcome her in, for she lives with you now. Pull her a chair at the table and offer her comfort. She is not the monster you first thought her to be. She is love. And she will walk with you now, stay with you now, peacefully. If you let her.
And on the days when your anger is high, remember why she came, remember who she represents. Remember. Grief came to you my friend because love came first. Love came first."

Grief can feel overwhelming, but transforming that pain into creative outlets like jewelry making can be profoundly healing. Many individuals experiencing loss find solace in crafting, as it allows them to channel their emotions into something tangible and beautiful. The process of making jewelry not only helps in processing grief but also serves as a tribute to lost loved ones. Pieces created during such emotionally rich times often carry deep sentimental value, becoming cherished keepsakes that tell a story. For those navigating through similar feelings, it can be comforting to know that expressing love and loss through art fosters connection and allows for personal healing. Remember that allowing grief a place in your life can also lead to understanding and peace. Acknowledge your feelings, create freely, and share your experiences with others who understand your journey. Let your creativity help you remember the love that persists through the sorrow.
