I begged a dude for 3 years to get his act right
I begged a dude for 3 years to get his act right, and it seems like the more I begged, the worse he got. The more I cried, the less he cared! The more I gave, the more he took! The more I did, the less he saw!! I was mentally, physically, and emotionally drained. I finally left not because I didn't love him anymore but because I couldn't love him anymore. It was so unhealthy that I was to the point of not even wanting to live anymore. I was mad at so many females, couldn't even look them girls in the face because I always wondered why her and not me... Throughout the whole process my mom was there but the last and final time, the time I left when crying in her arms she told me "You either gonna keep letting him hurt you or love yourself enough to move on!” Finally, I remembered the days he begged me to forget... I remembered the hurt he made me feel instead of trying to forget it... I remembered everything that boy did to me that made me feel less of a female, and at that moment was when I knew I was really done. We try so hard to forget the hurt in our heads, but our hearts never do, no matter how much we forgive. Stop forgetting and remember because love doesn't hurt. I promise ladies it doesn't.❤
In the journey of love, many find themselves trapped in unhealthy relationships, often struggling with emotional distress. It's crucial to recognize the signs of toxicity—continuous feelings of dread, neglect, and emotional hardship. Experts suggest that individuals should prioritize self-love and personal wellbeing over maintaining a relationship that brings pain. Remember, love should uplift you, not diminish your self-worth. If you find yourself in a similar situation, consider seeking support from friends and family or speaking to a mental health professional. It's never too late to choose yourself and your happiness. Embrace the healing process, reflect on your experiences, and allow yourself to move forward stronger than before.
