Doing my best, Tom!
So many things in life don’t make sense, but books and I are always on the same page 🙌
Consider this me sharing my diagnosis, which came as a surprise, but makes so much sense and has brought me peace 💙
Receiving an autism diagnosis later in life can be surprising, yet it often aligns other aspects of one's identity. The intersection of personal interests, such as literature, provides a unique way to navigate the complexities of neurodiversity. As noted in my journey, being an avid reader not only offers solace but can also serve as a powerful tool for understanding oneself. Books allow for reflection, connection, and the discovery of shared experiences among diverse individuals. Books have always been a sanctuary for many, where stories reflect our trials and triumphs, providing insight into different perspectives. Furthermore, communities like #booktok connect readers and autism advocates, fostering spaces for dialogue and support. Embracing one's identity, whether through reading or the acknowledgment of autism, enables personal growth and connection with others who resonate with similar experiences. This journey is a reminder to cherish our unique stories, validating each chapter in the narrative of life.
