Day 15.This started with a feeling I couldn’t ignore.

Tired of big companies making promises they can't keep.

3/28 Edited to

... Read moreAs a parent, I completely understand the deep concern that comes from seeing big companies make promises about safety and then falling short. It’s a feeling that resonates with many of us who want only the best for our children but don’t always trust the solutions on the market. When I first began this journey, I wasn’t a tech expert either—I was just like you, a concerned mom who wanted to protect her kids. That feeling of urgency, of not being able to ignore the risks children face in today’s digital world, pushed me to take matters into my own hands. Building safer technology for kids involves addressing real challenges such as online privacy, exposure to harmful content, and the addictive nature of some apps. It isn’t easy to balance usability with stringent safety measures, but as a parent, I know that safety has to come first. One thing I’ve realized is that effective safety solutions need to be created with a genuine understanding of children's experiences online. This means listening to feedback from families, educators, and children themselves. It’s about creating tools that empower parents without overwhelming them with complexity. I’m sharing this not just to tell my story but to encourage other parents and caregivers to stand up for better safety standards in technology. Whether that means advocating for stronger regulations or creating your own solutions, our collective voice matters. If you’re like me, frustrated by empty promises from big corporations, know that your concerns are valid. Together, we can push for real change and create a digital environment where our kids are truly protected and free to explore safely.

Most people assume they should ignore a feeling until they can explain it. But the body often notices change before the mind understands what changed. A feeling isn’t always a conclusion. Sometimes it’s simply information. Sometimes it’s your nervous system recognizing a pattern before
