DISOBEDIENCE HATEFUL REBELLIOUS WILL PERISH
MANY REFUSED REJECTED THE VOICE OF GOD THROUGH HIS MESSENGERS
THEY DIDN'T LIKE THE PERSON GOD DELIVERED
HIS MESSAGES THROUGH SO THE WOULD STOP WITH WICKED HEARTS OF PLANNING EVIL, THINKING EVIL IN THEIR HEARTS
GOD SAID BOTH YOUNG AND OLD
Through my personal reflections and study of scripture, I’ve come to realize how the consistent message throughout the Bible emphasizes the importance of obedience to God’s voice. The warnings about natural calamities like earthquakes, famines, and pestilences mentioned in Luke 21 and Revelation 16 serve as reminders for us to stay vigilant and faithful. Many times, people reject not just the message but also the messengers, often because of preconceived judgments or resistant hearts. This rejection is described as hateful and rebellious, leading to destruction for those who ignore God’s call. In daily life, I’ve observed how this principle applies beyond the spiritual realm — disobedience or resistance to wise counsel often results in negative consequences. The mention in the article of both the young and old highlights that no generation is exempt from accountability. It resonates with me because we all face moments where the truth may be hard to accept, yet embracing these warnings can lead to transformation rather than demise. Furthermore, the ‘300 Modern Day Signs of the Times’ referenced align with contemporary events that can feel overwhelming, from natural disasters to social unrest. Recognizing these as signs to awaken our hearts rather than succumb to fear is crucial. I find that sharing and reflecting on these messages fosters a sense of preparedness and spiritual growth, encouraging us to act with wisdom rather than continue in rebellion or apathy. Ultimately, this teaching reminds us that obedience and humility open doors to blessings and peace, while disobedience and rebellion bring hardship and loss. It calls for sincere self-examination and a willingness to listen, no matter how challenging the message or messenger may be.
