Purple Express Train Ride Review from Taoyuan Airport into Taipei

Tickets can be bought at the counter, because the car cycle is frequent (alternating with normal Commuter blue, which is not urgent, do not worry, just sit for almost an hour 😂). The car cycle averages every 10-15 minutes. The price should be the same, 160 baht each, but the seat cannot be reserved. The morning is not too crowded, but if it is afternoon-evening from Taipei Main - > Taoyuan, this one will stand from the origin.
P.S. Anyone traveling for the 2,3rd time... and carry any IC card, top up and tap in. You don't have to buy a ticket at the counter. You can only see the train time you want to board or use a credit card.

หลายคนเรียกรถไฟสายสีม่วงไต้หวันกันติดปาก จริงๆ คือ Taoyuan Airport MRT (รถไฟจากสนามบินเถาหยวนเข้าเมือง) ที่แบ่งเป็น “รถไฟด่วน Express” กับ “รถไฟธรรมดา Commuter” ซึ่งต่างกันหลักๆ ที่จำนวนสถานีที่จอดและเวลาเดินทางค่ะ วิธีสังเกตขบวนให้ไม่ขึ้นผิด: ตอนอยู่ชานชาลาให้ดูป้ายหน้าขบวน/จอประกาศที่มีคำว่า “Express Train” (ด่วน) จะพาเข้าเมืองเร็วมาก และส่วนใหญ่คนจะเล็งไปลง “A1 Taipei Main Station (台北車站)” กันเลย ถ้าเผลอขึ้น Commuter ก็ถึงเหมือนกัน แค่จอดถี่กว่าและใช้เวลานานขึ้น ดังนั้นก่อนแตะเข้าประตูหรือก่อนขึ้นรถ แนะนำดูบนป้ายว่าขบวนถัดไปเป็น Express หรือไม่ จะได้ไม่เสียเวลาค่ะ จุดขึ้นจากสนามบิน: ถ้ามาถึง Terminal 1 ให้ตามป้าย Airport MRT ไปสถานี A12 (Airport Terminal 1) ได้เลย ส่วนใครลง Terminal 2 จะเป็น A13 (Airport Terminal 2) แล้วค่อยนั่งเข้ากรุงเหมือนกัน เส้นทางเดินในสนามบินค่อนข้างชัด มีป้าย “Taipei / 台北” ให้ตามตลอด เรื่องตั๋วและการแตะเข้าออก: รอบรถออกค่อนข้างถี่ ทำให้ซื้อที่เคาน์เตอร์หรือตู้ก็สะดวก แต่ถ้ามี IC card (เช่น EasyCard / iPASS / iCash) เติมเงินไว้แล้ว “แตะเข้า-แตะออก” ได้เลย ไม่ต้องเสียเวลาต่อคิวซื้อเหรียญ/ตั๋ว เหมาะมากถ้ากระเป๋าเยอะหรืออยากรีบเข้าเมือง ค่าโดยสาร: โดยทั่วไปจากสนามบินเข้า Taipei Main Station จะอยู่ราวๆ 160 TWD (บางคนอาจจำเป็นเงินบาทจากเรทแลกเงิน) แนะนำเช็คราคา ณ วันที่เดินทางจากตู้ขายตั๋วหรือแผนที่ค่าโดยสารในสถานีอีกที เพราะเรท/โปรโมชันอาจเปลี่ยนได้ ทริคช่วงเวลาคนแน่น: ถ้าเป็นขาออกจากไทเปไปสนามบินช่วงบ่าย–เย็น มีโอกาสยืนตั้งแต่ต้นทางได้ เพราะคนกลับไปขึ้นเครื่องเยอะ ใครมีสัมภาระใหญ่ๆ แนะนำเผื่อเวลาอีกนิด และพยายามไปยืนรอที่ตำแหน่งประตูขึ้นรถก่อนขบวนมา จะได้ขึ้นพร้อมกันอย่างเป็นระเบียบ สรุปถ้าโจทย์คือ “อยากเข้าเมืองไว” เลือก Taoyuan Airport MRT รถไฟด่วนสีม่วง Express ไป A1 Taipei Main Station คือคุ้มมาก ทั้งเวลาเดินทางสั้น ป้ายชัด และต่อรถไฟ/รถไฟฟ้าในเมืองได้ง่ายค่ะ
