God sends messengers to help us
Evening scripture studies…
🔥 When God sends a messenger, resistance doesn’t mean failure—it means the message is needed.
In Exodus 5, Moses walks into Pharaoh’s throne room with nothing but God’s word… and Pharaoh answers with harder burdens 💥.
In Mosiah 12, Abinadi stands before King Noah’s court, declaring God’s warnings… and they answer with rage and accusations 🔥.
Two different lands. Two different prophets.
One identical pattern:
When truth confronts pride, pride pushes back.
But here’s the miracle 👇
🌿 Opposition didn’t stop God’s work.
🌿 Delay didn’t mean God was absent.
🌿 Harder days didn’t mean the promise was broken.
Moses’ “Why is this happening?” (Ex. 5:22) echoes in every disciple’s heart.
Abinadi’s fearless testimony echoes in every generation.
And God answers both with the same quiet certainty:
“My word will stand. My deliverance will come.” ✨
So if you’re obeying God and life gets harder, not easier…
If your obedience seems to stir up resistance…
If your faith is met with pushback…
You’re in good company.
You’re walking the same path as Moses and Abinadi.
And the God who backed them is backing you too 💛🔥
Truth may be opposed, but it is never defeated.
Deliverance may be delayed, but it is never denied.
Through my own experiences, I've seen that when we try to follow a higher calling, resistance is often a sure sign that the message truly matters. Much like Moses confronting Pharaoh in Egypt or Abinadi boldly speaking before King Noah, standing firm in faith can attract opposition from those invested in the status quo. But as the article highlights, this resistance should not discourage us; instead, it signals that God's work is progressing—even if it's met with hardship. In personal moments of challenge, I have found comfort in the reminder that delays or difficulties do not equal abandonment by God. Just as Moses questioned why the burden grew heavier before deliverance, and yet was ultimately supported, we too can hold fast to the assurance that God's word stands and deliverance comes. This has helped me persevere through difficulties knowing that resistance is not rejection, but often a necessary part of spiritual growth and fulfillment. The repeated pattern of truth confronting pride and provoking pushback is timeless. In today's world, standing for truth can be isolating, yet it places us in the company of great prophets and faithful servants. One practical takeaway is to remain patient and courageous in our convictions, trusting that even if progress seems delayed, God’s promises remain secure. This understanding transforms moments of difficulty into opportunities for deeper faith and resilience. Ultimately, the message that "resistance doesn’t mean failure—it means the message is needed" resonates deeply. It encourages all of us to embrace challenges as signs that we are on the right path, backed by God's wisdom and strength. Sharing this perspective with a faith community can bolster others facing similar pushbacks and remind us all that opposition is a natural but conquerable part of living faithfully.
