Choose the Lord-- everyday

This week I studied the plagues of Egypt… and one thing hit me:

every plague had the same solution — obey God ✨.

But Pharaoh’s pride kept him stuck.

Plague after plague…

Until it cost him everything.

It made me ask myself:

How long do I wait before I follow the Lord?

My prayer: to be humble, selfless, and loving like Jesus — every day 🤍.

I find it inspiring that each plague presented God’s call for Pharaoh to obey, yet his pride prevented him from yielding, leading to great loss. This story challenges me personally—how often do I ignore gentle nudges to follow God out of my own stubbornness or pride? In my daily walk, I strive to live with the humility that Jesus modeled. This means actively choosing to put aside selfishness and pride, and embracing selflessness and love each day. It’s a constant effort, one that requires intention and prayer. For example, I remind myself that every small choice, from how I react under pressure to how I treat others, is an opportunity to choose the Lord. Moreover, this reflection helps me understand that obedience isn’t just about avoiding negative consequences; it’s a gateway to experiencing peace and fulfillment that pride cannot provide. The phrase, 'My prayer is that I will do a little better each day, and not be prideful or selfish, but humble and selfless as Jesus,' resonates deeply. It motivates me to keep growing spiritually and to become more intentional in my faith journey. Ultimately, choosing the Lord every day shapes who I am and who I become. Whether faced with big decisions or small moments, remembering the lessons from the plagues reminds me to act in faith rather than fear or pride. This mindset is freeing, uplifting, and transformative—something I genuinely encourage everyone to explore in their own lives.
