When selecting a college you do not necessarily select the most academic one, or the most prestigious. When selecting a college you find one that fit your personality and academic needs.
My Story:
During my decision process I was determined to go to a certain college it appeared to have everything. It was prestigious, had a beautiful campus, my dream major, and made me feel welcome. But as I got in deeper the housing was not optional, the course load would set me back a semester from graduation(I was a transfer with 60 hours), and I did not feel wanted. I was on a call with my advisor and he did not seem to care, and then on top of it there were hidden classes that I had to take. Keep in mind that I thoroughly researched my degree plan before the call and had already had college experience and had no issues with college advisors before. This experience taught me a lot about finding a college for you. In the end I found the right college for me that causes me less stress, makes me feel wanted, and is right for me. Do not let a college define who you are and find a college who wants to help you grow!
