Study tips and motivation
Here are some of my basic needs for motivation. I am a Criminal Justice major, so I have a lot of studying to do.
Some apps I use to help me with motivation are:
Focus plant: this app is a great way to help you stay focused. I use it when taking notes, reading my textbooks, studying, or doing assignments. You earn raindrops by setting the timer and can grow adorable little plants.
Quizlet: It makes studying easy and fun! You can create your own flashcards, or upload notes and powerpoints to make a set of flash cards.
Apple music: I personally use apple music, but you can use any music app. You can make your own playlists to listen to while studying.
Now, for motivation I use the Bible app. This isn’t something you have to do, but I know it helps me as I am very spiritual and religious. I listen to the word of God and devotionals that make me feel upbeat and happy.
Another thing I use is fun stationary and planners. I like hand writing my notes and also assignments down. Using a planner makes it easy to keep track of your assignments and make it easy to work towards a goal.
Studying effectively requires both good habits and motivational techniques. A consistent study environment can greatly enhance focus. Consider utilizing apps such as Focus Plant and Quizlet; the former aids attention by gamifying focus time, while the latter transforms study materials into engaging flashcards. Create your own playlists on music apps, which can improve concentration, with genres that suit your study mood. Incorporating spiritual practices or listening to inspiring content can elevate motivation. Devotionals and uplifting messages can provide emotional support, enhancing your study experience. Using planners or engaging stationery can simplify tracking your progress and assignments, adding a personal touch to your studies. Small, consistent actions lead to significant academic results: "A little progress each day adds up to big results." This approach fosters both knowledge retention and anxiety management during study sessions.
