I stopped offering SMM here’s why
Brain dump: 🧠 I am a digital marketer. I was anti-niche but I realized I kinda had one after I stepped back and looked an my clients. I mostly helped Successful Female Black Service Based Entrepreneurs with social, funnels/backend, and emails…essentially organic lead generation for black owned businesses that are successful offline. I didn’t go after them they are attracted to me so I will just target them from now on. (If you don’t know marketing lingo I may sound weird but trust me all good intentions).
I've been offering done for you social media marketing for the last 2 years, I really could do without the social media part it was never really my thing, people think they want social media management hearing they need to post 4x a day on everyplatform when that’s not what I’m interested in and if I do it will be $10k+ and I've had people pay it! I don’t want to manage companies accounts at all I’ve done it but honestly most businesses want a full time content creator, or person, tech, email, copywriter and social media marketer & manager for $300 per month… the type of girlie I am that’s not me. Plus with the digital marketing course boom I’m cool on social dfy. I am working on education and consulting social media marketing focusing on that with my content and focusing on post-lead gen done for you services.

In today’s fast-paced digital marketing environment, many small business owners are re-evaluating their strategies. Social media management can often seem essential, yet the cost versus value can leave many entrepreneurs perplexed. Businesses frequently seek comprehensive packages, often expecting full-time services for a limited budget, which may not align with the reality of high-quality content creation and marketing management. For successful female Black entrepreneurs, this is particularly poignant. They deserve bespoke strategies that actually resonate with their specific needs, not blanket solutions that prioritize quantity over quality. Moreover, with an increasing number of digital marketing courses available, there’s a new trend towards educating clients rather than only providing done-for-you services. This enables entrepreneurs to understand and leverage their own capabilities in a way that will fuel their growth sustainably. Learning about lead generation, customer engagement through authentic storytelling, and effective marketing funnels plays a crucial role in building lasting relationships with customers, especially for those in niche markets. The evolution of this sector signals a growing trend towards empowerment through education, which may ultimately be more fulfilling for service providers and beneficial for clients in achieving real success.
