Tired to feel "live, die, be happy"? Know Passive Death Wish 🖤 mental health crisis.
Tired to feel...
"You can stay, but if you don't wake up again, it's okay."
You might be sending yourself some kind of signal. 🖤
Ever?
We didn't want to hurt ourselves, didn't have a plan to leave, but deep down, we were tired, exhausted, desperate, or thinking...
"If you're asleep, you don't have to wake up again."
Feelings of this nature may be called Passive Death Wish or "unintentional death thoughts or plans to directly hurt themselves."
And it's a feeling that shouldn't be overlooked.
🥀. Potential mutual signals.
• Feel indifferent or rarely rejoice in being alive.
• Cumulative fatigue until I don't want to deal with anything else
• Feeling hopeless, lonely, or like no one understands.
• Feel that life has no meaning or goal.
• I don't think I'm going to hurt myself, but I feel like "it's okay if I'm not here."
These feelings do not mean that you are "weak" or "thinking too much."
Sometimes it can be a sign that the body and mind have been carrying stress, pain or fatigue for too long.
🖤 Why do we feel this way?
It can occur from many factors, such as
Cumulative stress
Have to deal with several ongoing problems for a long time.
A sense of isolation.
Feeling that no one understands or there is no safe space to talk about feelings.
Desperate or meaningless.
When life is so full of problems that the solution is invisible.
Mental fatigue
Try to be strong and take care of everything for so long that there is no strength left for yourself.
🤍 So how do we take care of ourselves?
1️⃣ Don't carry everything alone.
We don't have to be strong all the time.
Admitting that "we can't do it now" is not a failure.
Talk to a trusted person or ask for help when you feel that your suffering is too heavy to deal with alone.
2️⃣ Set boundaries for yourself.
Listening and helping others is good.
But we don't have to bear everyone's every problem.
If you start to feel tired or overwhelmed by other people's suffering, taking care of yourself first is not selfish.
3️⃣'s a listener. It doesn't have to be a problem solver.
If someone close to him feels this way, what he probably wanted most at the time was someone who listens without judgment.
We don't need to find answers or solve problems for him entirely.
Just say,
"Here we are."
Or
"Thank you for trusting me."
It probably means more than I thought.
4️⃣ seek expert help.
If the feeling of wanting to disappear from this world occurs more often, becomes more intense, or begins to have the idea of hurting yourself,
Don't wait for a really unbearable day.
Talking to psychologists, psychiatrists or mental health personnel can help us understand what is happening and find a way to take care of ourselves.
If you're feeling this way...
I want you to know that you don't have to go through it alone. 🤍
Feeling tired doesn't mean you're weak.
And asking for help doesn't mean you're a burden to anyone.
Sometimes the idea that
"I don't want to."
Probably doesn't mean we always want to die.
But it could mean...
We just want the pain it's going through to stop.
And you deserve help. 🤍
