Fantasia
It’s amazing how a piece of music like Elgar's 'Pomp and Circumstance' from Disney's Fantasia 2000 can evoke such powerful emotions and imagery. For me, that feeling of grandeur, celebration, and pure joy is something I constantly try to bring into our own performances. When our #Fantasia group is on stage doing our DC #GoGo, there's this incredible energy we want to share, a vibe that's as uplifting and memorable as seeing those iconic animated scenes. It’s about more than just the music; it's about the entire experience. The 'application' of such inspiration is really interesting. How do we take that classical magnificence and weave it into the vibrant, rhythmic world of Go-Go? For us, it’s about applying the spirit of 'Fantasia' – the sheer artistry and emotional depth – to our own unique sound and movement. It's like finding new ways to express that universal feeling of joy and spectacle. We might not have an orchestra or animated hippos, but we have our own way of creating a moment that feels just as grand and unforgettable for our audience. Every performance is an opportunity to apply that spark of magic and make it our own!
