... Read moreCooking can often lead to a messy kitchen, especially with items falling into the sink. To combat this, trying out some practical techniques can make a huge difference. One effective method to avoid crumbs and other food debris from falling in the sink is by using a cutting board with raised edges. This creates a barrier that helps contain any mess while you chop or prepare ingredients. Additionally, having a designated mess-free zone can also help, such as a clear countertop space where you can keep all ingredients organized. Another strategy is utilizing bowls while prepping. Rather than handling various ingredients directly over the sink, place chopped items into bowls to prevent spills. Moreover, consider adjusting your technique when pouring ingredients into pots or pans. Tilting the bowl slightly towards your workspace can keep everything contained. Lastly, always remember to clean as you go. By wiping down your surfaces regularly and keeping trash bins nearby, you can minimize the build-up of messes. With these simple tips in mind, you can enjoy a more pleasant cooking experience without the fear of unwanted surprises lurking in your sink.

I want this! I currently have 2 drainers and use one to catch all food or whatever and after it drains I dump everything in it into the trashcan and wash the drainer and use it again to catch food for next day. that drainer doesn't get used to drain food, I have a other drainer for food I'm cooking.

I just scrape the leftovers into the trash can before even putting the plate in the sink.
