Help a narrow-footed runner pick her shoes!

Training for my second half-marathon. Tried NB Fresh Foam, felt flat and slow. Hoka Clifton 9 was better, but zero propulsion. Recently grabbed Brooks Boston 12 based on recs, which is way too stiff, and the toe box is so wide my narrow feet slip (size 7.5). Then Saucony Endorphin Speed 4, it is crazy bounce, but the mesh feels cheap and the colorway. Yikes.

I need something with more support than Clifton/Hoka, but not as rigid as Boston. Narrow foot, neutral arch, 115lbs, I want to feel fast but stable for 13.1 miles. Tried Nike Vomero 5, it is too retro-cushiony. Maybe ASICS Novablast 3? Or New Balance FuelCell Supercomp Trainer?

Anyone else with narrow feet find their magic shoe for 6min/mi pace? Did Speed 4 grow on you after breaking in?

Many runners encounter difficulties, such as inadequate support or uncomfortable fit, when selecting footwear for longer distances. Some popular choices among narrow-footed runners include the ASICS Novablast 3 and the New Balance FuelCell Supercomp Trainer, as they are known for their lighter weight and responsiveness. A crucial factor to consider when choosing shoes is the toe box width. For narrow feet, brands like Brooks and Saucony often receive mixed reviews, as some models may have wider toe boxes that lead to slippage. It's essential to explore shoes designed specifically for a snug fit to maintain stability during runs, especially for longer distances. Additionally, consider reading user reviews and trying on shoes in-store to gauge comfort and support. Shoes like the Nike Vomero, while highly cushioned, can feel too pillowy for some, whereas models like the Saucony Endorphin Speed 4 have garnered positive feedback for their bounce. For runners training for a half-marathon, prioritizing comfort and the right level of support based on individual foot shape and running style is vital. Engaging in discussions in running communities, such as forums on Lemon8, can provide insights and personal experiences from fellow runners dealing with similar challenges. Don't hesitate to ask for advice or share your experiences to help others with narrow feet find their perfect match!

go to a show store that specializes in sports, like we have one locally called "run around" and they even put you on a treadmill and have you run in the shoes to make sure they are the right ones for you. just a suggestion.
