To the Overlooked
A lady told me something yesterday that broke me later in a quiet place. She said, “I’m tired of being overlooked, and so I want a man of God like you, who is always overlooked, to cover me and people like me. Where do we come too?”
I had scripture answers that comforted her, but I marvel at what she said, ‘she wanted someone who is always overlooked to oversee her’ She hasn’t been to church in ten years. People are tired of being‘Overlooked’. As long as I have breathe Lord, the overlooked that you send to me won’t be overlooked.
Your Overlooked Soldier,

Feeling overlooked can weigh heavily on the heart, especially when it seems like no one truly sees or values your struggles. From my own experience, I’ve learned that these feelings often come from a deep need for recognition and understanding. What struck me in this story is the powerful paradox of wanting someone who feels overlooked themselves to provide oversight and care. It reminded me that those who have endured being unseen often develop a unique empathy and strength. In my journey, turning to faith and scripture helped me find comfort and purpose amid feeling invisible. Verses that emphasize God’s constant presence and care remind us that even when people overlook us, we are not forgotten. It’s a profound reassurance to realize that our worth and importance come from a higher source, not just human validation. Additionally, the quote from the image, 'To those who have been taken advantage of God Knows and He cares,' underscores a vital truth: God is aware of every hardship and injustice we face. This deep awareness can bring peace and motivation to continue moving forward rather than shrinking away. For anyone who feels overlooked, it can be healing to connect with communities and individuals who understand and honor your experiences. Whether within a faith group, a support network, or through authentic friendships, these connections can provide the oversight and care we long for. They remind us that being seen and valued is not just a wish but a vital part of human connection. Remember, being overlooked doesn’t diminish your value or your potential to influence others positively. Like the author’s commitment to not let any overlooked person remain unseen, we all can be advocates and supporters for those feeling invisible. Embracing this mission brings both healing and purpose, transforming personal pain into shared strength and hope.
