Lasagna Soup
Lasagna soup is the perfect comfort meal and super easy to make. This is definitely going to be apart of my dinner rotation. Ingredients:
Lasagne noodles
Ground turkey
Chicken broth
Spaghetti sauce
Heavy cream
Mozzarella cheese
Pepper Jack cheese
Graza Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Fresh basil
Chopped onions
Fresh minced garlic
Lasagna soup is a wonderful twist on the traditional baked lasagna, transforming it into a warm, comforting bowl much easier and quicker to prepare. Using ground turkey instead of beef cuts down on fat while still providing a rich, savory base. One key tip I’ve found is to simmer the soup gently after adding the spaghetti sauce and chicken broth so that all the flavors meld beautifully without toughening the noodles. The combination of mozzarella and pepper jack cheese adds a great balance of creamy texture and a slight kick of heat, elevating the soup beyond ordinary tomato-based soups. I always drizzle Graza Extra Virgin Olive Oil before serving to enhance the aroma and add a velvety finish. Fresh basil and minced garlic are essential for authentic flavor; sautéing onions, garlic, and basil in olive oil before adding liquids really unlocks their fragrance. For a creamier consistency, a splash of heavy cream enriches the broth, making it smooth and indulgent without overpowering the dish. This soup is ideal for busy weeknights because you can prepare it in a single pot, minimizing cleanup. It also stores well in the fridge and tastes even better the next day when the flavors blend further. Serve with crusty bread or a simple salad for a complete meal. In my experience, this lasagna soup has become a staple in my dinner rotation because it delivers all the comforting flavors of lasagna in a quick, satisfying, and lighter format. I highly recommend trying it with quality ingredients to get the best results, especially a good extra virgin olive oil like Graza, which really makes the difference in flavor and richness.
