Meal prep for my busy gym gals...
Hey lovies🥰. So as I’m preparing for my vacation to Miami I know that it can get boring trying to eat on the healthier side and hard finding easy recipes but I gotchu! Easy Steak bites and a Kale salad. I’ve been on the kale real bad lately yall🤣. I try my best to eat high in protein since I train with heavy weights. Eating high in protein really helps with the gains that we work hard for😉. Meal on my 4/4 workouts:
Steakbites 🥩-13 grams of protein (season how you want)
-Protein-rich foods like steak are filling and can reduce hunger levels, making it easier to maintain a calorie-controlled diet.
-The high protein content in steak makes it ideal for athletes or those on fitness regimens, as it helps repair muscle tissue after exercise.
Kale🥬
-salt, pepper, balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, brown rice, Parmesan cheese (I was out of cheese, my heart 💔
- low in calories, high in nutrients
-Vitamin K, C, A, E
Karma Probiotic Water
-known for containing probiotics to support gut health.
I hope this helps anyone who needs the assist❤️
Hey fellow gym enthusiasts! Kiana here again, super excited to dig deeper into what makes a truly effective gym meal prep. We all know protein is king for those hard-earned gains, but let’s be real, variety keeps things interesting and sustainable! Besides my beloved steak bites, I often rotate through other lean protein heroes like grilled chicken breast, ground turkey, or even baked salmon for a dose of healthy omega-3s. For my plant-based pals, lentils, black beans, and chickpeas are fantastic for adding protein and fiber to any meal, making them super filling and great for muscle repair after those intense lifting sessions. I always make sure I'm hitting my protein goals, especially when I'm training with heavy weights, because it truly does make a difference in recovery and building strength! Now, let's talk about the unsung hero of gym fuel: carbs! I know sometimes carbs get a bit of a bad rap, but for us active 'gym gals,' they are absolutely essential for sustained energy. My kale salad with brown rice is a great start, as brown rice is a fantastic complex carbohydrate. But my meal prep rotation also includes sweet potatoes – they're incredibly versatile for roasting, mashing, or even turning into fries – and quinoa, which is a complete protein itself! These complex carbs release energy slowly, preventing those dreaded mid-workout crashes and helping you power through your toughest sessions. I also love adding whole-wheat pasta or oats to my weekly prep for variety. The key is choosing nutrient-dense carbs that fuel your body efficiently, helping you perform your best and recover faster. To really elevate your meal prep game, think about balancing your macros in every dish. I strive for a good mix of protein, complex carbs, and healthy fats (like a drizzle of olive oil on my salad or some avocado) to keep me feeling satisfied and energized. A little tip for busy weeks: batch cooking is your best friend! I’ll cook a large quantity of grains and a couple of different protein sources at the beginning of the week. This way, I can mix and match throughout the days, preventing meal fatigue. Don't forget about proper storage either; using airtight containers keeps everything fresh and makes grabbing your prepped meals a breeze, perfect for those grab-and-go moments between work and the gym. And for a final touch on overall wellness, which I've found super impactful, let's not overlook gut health! Just like the Karma Probiotic Water (the strawberry flavor is seriously delicious and my favorite!), incorporating probiotics into my daily routine has significantly boosted my digestion and overall well-being. It’s all part of supporting my body from the inside out so I can continue crushing my fitness goals. Hope these extra tips help you make your gym meal prep even more effective and enjoyable!
