From my experience, the three fingers symbolize apathy, resentment, and entitlement—core feelings that can significantly impact our relationships and mental wellbeing if left unchecked. For example, apathy is when we stop caring about others, which can create distance and misunderstandings. I've noticed in my own life that becoming more mindful of my actions and showing genuine concern helps rebuild trust and connection. Resentment and anger, on the other hand, often stem from unmet expectations or desires. Instead of blaming external circumstances, reflecting on this feeling allows us to better understand what we truly want and how to communicate those needs effectively. Practicing patience and empathy has made a huge difference in easing these emotions. Lastly, entitlement—the belief that we deserve things without effort—can hinder our progress and lead to frustration. Taking ownership of our journey, embracing hard work, and setting realistic goals have empowered me to achieve personal growth. By honestly looking at ourselves through the lens of the 3 Finger Rule, we transform challenges into opportunities for self-improvement.
