You need to HEAR this🫶🙏
You know, there are definitely days when it feels like the universe is on a totally different timeline than I am. We all have dreams and deep desires of our heart, right? And when we pray for them, we want to see them manifest, like, yesterday! It's so easy to get caught up in the waiting game, feeling frustrated or even forgotten, wondering if our prayers are truly being heard. That’s why I find so much comfort in verses like Psalms 37:4: 'Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.' This beautiful verse, often paired with the wisdom that 'God will give you the desires of your heart, when the time is right. He hears your prayers. You just have to be patient and trust Him,' is a powerful anchor. It’s not just about getting what we want; it's about aligning our hearts with Him first, and then trusting that our desires, when they are good and pure, are already known to Him. In our fast-paced world, patience often feels like a lost art. We have instant gratification at our fingertips, and waiting can feel like a punishment. But what if waiting is actually a sacred space? A period of growth, preparation, and refinement? I often remind myself that God's timing is perfect, even when it doesn't make sense to my limited human understanding. He sees the bigger picture, the intricate tapestry of our lives that we can only glimpse in fragments. When the verse says 'He hears your prayers,' it’s not just a comforting thought; it’s a profound truth. Every whisper, every heartfelt plea, every silent hope – He hears them all. It’s not about whether He hears, but about how He chooses to respond, and when. Sometimes the answer is 'yes,' sometimes it’s 'not yet,' and sometimes it’s 'I have something even better for you.' This requires a deep level of trust, believing that His love for us is unwavering and His plans are always for our good. Practicing patience and trust isn't always easy. For me, it often involves daily affirmations, journaling my feelings, and intentionally letting go of what I can't control. It means surrendering my timeline to His divine one. It also helps to look back at past experiences where things didn't happen when I wanted them to, but looking back, I can see why His delay was actually His protection or His perfect setup for something greater. It builds my faith muscle for the next waiting period. So, if you’re in a season of waiting, remember this powerful message from Psalms 37:4. Hold onto the truth that God hears your prayers. Cultivate that patience within your heart, and lean into trust, knowing that when the time is right, He will fulfill those deep desires. It’s a journey, but one filled with hope and the promise of His unfailing love. Amen.
