What’s Yall screen time 🤦🏽‍♀️

2/16 Edited to

... Read moreI've recently become really aware of how much time I spend on my phone each day—almost 9 hours! It's shocking when you see the exact numbers because it's easy to underestimate that screen time. I started using the Screen Time feature on my iPhone, which not only tracks total usage but also breaks down the time spent on each app and website. This helped me identify the apps that consumed most of my time. One effective approach I found was setting app limits for the most distracting apps. The feature allows you to schedule downtime, which turns off access to certain apps during preset hours. This has been especially helpful during work or study hours and before bedtime. Not only did it cut down my usage, but it also improved my sleep quality. Another tip is to replace screen-based activities with offline hobbies—reading a book, going for a walk, or spending time with friends. It might sound simple, but consciously diverting attention away from screens can make a big difference. Also, keeping your phone outside the bedroom at night minimizes the temptation to check it repeatedly. Remember, monitoring your screen time is about achieving balance, not complete elimination. Understanding your usage patterns empowers you to take control and create a healthier relationship with technology. Give it a try, and you might be surprised at how much more free time you discover!
