Don’t expect someone to change for you

If you get into a relationship already knowing someone does something you don’t like — that’s on you. Don’t expect them to just stop doing what they enjoy once you’re together. For example, if you meet someone at the club, don’t assume they’ll never want to go out again. If you date a guy who loves playing video games, don’t expect him to suddenly drop his hobby.

Relationships work best when you accept people as they are, not as a project to ‘fix.’ If their lifestyle, hobbies, or values don’t align with yours from the start, it’s better to recognize that early than to force change later. Love is about acceptance, not control.
