I spent the end of November on a two week road trip across America and I found so many amazing bookstores along the way. We stopped in Lawrence Kansas to check out a used bookstore my librarian friend recommended, and then walking along the main street I stumbled upon The Raven. Open for 38 years, they started as a specialty shop for mystery books, and eventually expanded to a full bookstore. I was so impressed with all of their staff picks and literary fiction.
I found a short story collection edited by one of my favorite authors, Lauren Groff, and I had spent the last 2 days on the road listening to the audiobook Say Nothing by Patrick Radden Keefe, which I was absolutely loving. It was teaching me so much abou the history of Ireland in the 20th century, so I wanted to pick up a physical copy to have on my shelves at home.
