Be Silly With Me
Alright people can we talk? The winter is coming. I know, I know, after last year, midwesteners, was a bunch of horse crap under our nails. The horrific stories of cabin fever and feeling like a prisoner in your home. The terror that was on us the second the wind blew, thinking we were gonna lose another structure. Then I have littles who I have literally seen share and pass viruses from shore to shore like explorer in 1776 and that's just my preschooler. So here we are. Getting tinctures for preventative and putting out the fire of the flu which ya know. I AM NOT A FIRE FIGHTER Y'ALL. Not now not ever. So I like to nip it in the bud before it becomes my worst nightmare. So if you can relate try it...
Winter Blues
Apple Cider Vinegar
Elderberry
Licorice
Ginger Root
Spearmint
Beetroot
Then watch it change for 4-6 weeks
I use this and the Winter Wonderland Tincture I made earlier in the year in my tea, water, directly if the day calls for it. So listen if you have kids the plague will reach your house at some point so let's saddle up ladies and defend our home. Another thing I do is use my Rosemary and Sage oil in my cleaning products. So listen winter sucks but we can make it suck a little less. Ok so I'm silly this morning and I will not apologize!!! The moon is full. 😂💃🏾🪻🌿✍🏾🙏🏾✌🏾
Winter can be a challenging season for many, especially when it comes to maintaining health and battling the notorious winter blues. Alongside the cold, shorter days and social isolation, many people find their immune system compromised, making it easier for flu and colds to take hold. One of the best ways to proactively support your health during this time is by utilizing natural tinctures and remedies. Ingredients like apple cider vinegar have long been praised for their antimicrobial properties and ability to support digestion, which in turn can enhance immunity. Elderberry is another potent ingredient well-known for its antiviral activity and its ability to ease cold and flu symptoms. Licorice root is traditionally used for its soothing effects on the throat and respiratory system, while ginger root provides anti-inflammatory benefits and can help reduce nausea. Adding spearmint can not only add flavor but also help settle your stomach and provide a refreshing boost. Beetroot is a powerhouse of antioxidants and nutrients that support circulation and energy, both critical in combating winter fatigue. Incorporating these ingredients into your daily routine—whether in teas, infusions, or tinctures—can yield noticeable benefits after consistent use for 4 to 6 weeks. This timeline allows your body to build up resilience and better fight off seasonal illnesses. Additionally, using essential oils such as rosemary and sage in cleaning products offers an extra layer of defense by helping to sanitize your environment naturally. For parents, this is particularly important as children can be vectors for viral transmission, especially in close quarters like preschools and daycare. Preparing your home and family with these preventive measures can help reduce the impact of winter illnesses. It’s essential to remember that while these natural remedies support health, they should complement, not replace, advice from healthcare professionals. Stay hydrated, rest well, and maintain a balanced diet alongside these natural aids for best results. By adopting this holistic approach, winter struggles such as cabin fever, flu outbreaks, and the general winter blues can become more manageable, allowing you to enjoy the season with greater wellness and vitality.
