Winston, I think he’s a pit-mix idk
I’m starting to think that Winston is a mix breed dog. Sure, some might say he’s a Tiger Salamander, but I have my doubts. I mean, I’ve seen him stretch out those tiny legs, and if you squint really hard and let your imagination run wild, you can almost see the resemblance to a dachshund. Almost.
Let’s not even get started on his diet. Like any dog, he loves a good meal. Sure, it’s crickets and worms instead of kibble, but who am I to judge? Winston devours his food with the enthusiasm of a Labrador, which, in my opinion, further supports my theory. Plus, have you seen how he stares at me with those big, soulful eyes? It’s like he’s waiting for me to toss him a bone or, in his case, a particularly juicy earthworm.
Now, I know what you’re thinking—dogs bark and chase their tails. Winston, on the other hand, just sort of wriggles around in his tank and occasionally peeks out from under his rock. But I’m convinced that if given the chance, he’d be wagging a tail and chasing after a stick in no time. Maybe he’s just shy. Or maybe he’s waiting for the right moment to reveal his true mixed-breed nature.
Even though he doesn’t fetch or go for walks, Winston has the heart of a dog. He’s loyal (well, he hasn’t left the tank yet), he’s affectionate (in a cold-blooded sort of way), and he’s always there when I need him (usually buried under some moss). So, I’ll keep calling him my mixed-breed dog, and if anyone tries to correct me, I’ll just point out that Winston is the best (and most unique) pet I’ve ever had. #WinstonTheDog #SalamanderLife #MixedBreedMystery #BestPetEver
