Como descendiente de familias judías, me duele profundamente el odio y el atentado ocurrido en Australia el primer día de Janucá. Un día que simboliza luz, fe y resistencia fue manchado por la violencia. Eso es inaceptable.
Esto no es política. Es odio.
Y el odio, venga de donde venga, no puede ser normalizado ni justificado.
No podemos proteger ni excusar a quienes creen que, por su religión o ideología, tienen derecho a eliminar a otros seres humanos. Esa creencia no es fe: es deshumanización. Es inhumana. Y es peligrosa.
La libertad religiosa existe para proteger la fe y la convivencia, no para amparar el antisemitismo, la violencia ni el llamado a la muerte del otro. Cuando el odio se traduce en acciones, el silencio se convierte en complicidad.
Janucá nos recuerda que la luz prevalece incluso en la oscuridad. Hoy, honrar esa luz implica hablar claro, poner límites y no mirar hacia otro lado.
Esto no es solo un tema judío.
Es un tema humano.
Y debe ser defendido, sin ambigüedades.
