... Read moreAs a fellow writer, I can totally relate to the frustration of sending out a message or text filled with typos, especially when you take so much pride in your writing skills. It’s one of those ironic moments — the more you know about grammar and spelling, the more glaring these mistakes feel. In my experience, the pressure to respond quickly or multitask while writing often leads to these errors. Sometimes I catch myself rushing to hit send without giving my message a second glance. Even with spellcheck tools at our disposal, autocorrect can confuse things or miss errors based on context. One approach that’s worked for me is to develop the habit of reading my messages aloud before sending. This forces me to slow down and catch awkward phrasing or missed words. Another tip is to draft important texts or emails in a notes app where I can take my time proofreading before copying them over. It’s also comforting to know that most readers are forgiving of occasional typos, especially in informal communication like texts or social media posts. What matters most is that the message is clear and authentic. In fact, these little imperfections often make our writing feel more human and relatable. I love that the writing community embraces these relatable flaws, sharing memes and stories about the common mistakes we all make. It reminds me that writing is a journey where mistakes help us improve and connect with others. So, what’s your most frequent writing slip-up? Whether it’s mixing up their and there, forgetting punctuation, or sending a text with an unintended typo, sharing these experiences is a great way to laugh at ourselves and grow as writers together.

What’s a mistake you make ALL the time, even though you definitely know better? 😂
