What’s on my ‘CURRENT’ playlist
71 songs , 3hrs and 52minutes 🎧
This is my playlist of songs I’d be able to listen to on repeat at least 10 times minimum, I’m definitely that person who have a song on repeat until they are sick of it and I’m proud.
Live making playlist and going back to them it’s definitely my form of therapy when I’m going through it. It’s important for everyone to have some kind of outlet

I totally get that feeling of having a song on repeat until you know every single word and nuance! It's like finding a hidden gem, right? When I'm curating my playlists, I often think about not just the beat, but also the stories behind the songs. For example, when I first heard 'Next To You' by Bryson Tiller or 'Fading Out' by Ella Mai, I immediately wanted to dive deeper into the lyrics. It adds so much to the experience, understanding what the artist is really trying to convey. Sometimes, discovering a new song from someone's curated list, like this one with tracks from Khalid, H.E.R., or even some of the vibes from Jack Harlow and Future, makes me want to look up the lyrics right away. My go-to is usually a quick search on Google or checking the lyrics feature directly on Apple Music. It’s amazing how much more you appreciate a song when you truly understand the words, even if it's a catchy tune like 'Bad Habit' by Steve Lacy or something more introspective from GIVEON. And speaking of lyrics, have you ever paid close attention to the storytelling in songs like 'Damage' by H.E.R. or 'Lie Again' by GIVEON? It's like reading a short story, but with a melody. It’s incredible how artists pour their hearts out, and understanding those words can make the music even more therapeutic. Just like the original post mentioned, music really is a form of therapy for me too, especially when I’m going through it. Knowing the lyrics often helps me connect on a deeper emotional level. If you're like me and love to create your own playlists, try building them around themes or even the lyrical content. Maybe a 'feel-good' playlist, a 'deep thoughts' playlist, or even one for just pure chill vibes with artists like Miguel or SoMo. Think about the mood each song evokes and how its message resonates with you. It’s not just about the beats; it’s about the connection. What’s amazing is how different songs resonate with different moments. I often find myself revisiting artists like Drake for those introspective moments or turning to more upbeat tracks from GloRilla or Megan Thee Stallion when I need a boost. Each artist, from the smooth R&B of Bryson Tiller to the powerful vocals of Jazmine Sullivan, contributes to the rich tapestry of sounds we can explore. Understanding the lyrical journey, even on a surface level, can transform a simple background track into a personal anthem. So next time you find a track you can't get enough of, whether it's 'Psychic' by Chris Brown or 'On My Mama' by Victoria Monét, take a moment to explore the lyrics. You might discover a whole new layer to your favorite tunes. It’s a wonderful way to enhance your listening experience and truly make those 71 songs (or however many are in your playlist!) feel even more personal and impactful. What are some of your go-to songs when you're in the mood to really listen to the words?
