Reflecting on my journey since earning my license, I can confidently say that the role of a dental hygienist extends far beyond routine cleaning. One year into my career, I’ve learned that staying current with the latest dental technologies and hygiene practices is key to providing excellent care. Continuously attending workshops and courses has helped me enhance my skills and boost my confidence. Recovering from the challenges of study and board exams, I found that resilience and support from colleagues and mentors played a critical role in my success. For anyone preparing to take the NBDHE, my advice is to focus on understanding core concepts deeply rather than just memorizing facts.
