I took so much for granted prior to cancer and would say things like I hate my hair or my nails don't look right or I wish I looked like her but today I realize what a humbling experience this is. I know it's just a season and this to shall pass but man do I miss the hair I hated then and the nails that weren't exactly the way I wanted them.

However, this journey often leads to a renewed appreciation for the beauty we took for granted. Emphasizing self-acceptance can be empowering; rather than focusing on what was lost, it's important to recognize the strength gained through hardship. Engaging with support groups or online communities can also foster connection and understanding, reminding us that we are not alone in our experiences. Celebrating small victories, like regrowing hair or embracing natural beauty, can uplift our spirits. Ultimately, it's about cultivating love for ourselves amidst the trials, allowing the journey to transform our perspectives on beauty and worth. If you or a loved one is navigating a similar journey, resources like counseling or support networks can offer invaluable guidance and comfort, helping individuals foster resilience and renew their sense of identity post-treatment.

You ARE gorgeous! Not to mention you can pull off short hair in a way most women can’t! 🥰
