I've tried this garlic brown sugar baked pork chops recipe a few times now, and it never disappoints. One important tip I've learned is to really season both sides of the pork chops generously, especially with the garlic powder and Cajun seasoning, as it deeply enhances the flavor. I like to use bone-in pork chops because they tend to stay juicier during the baking process. Sprinkling brown sugar over the seasoned pork before baking creates a beautiful caramelized crust that balances the savory spices with a hint of sweetness. Adding a small square of butter on top of each chop helps keep them moist and adds richness. Covering the pork chops for the first 40 minutes locks in moisture and allows the flavors to meld, while uncovering them for the last 20 minutes helps achieve a slightly crispy finish. I usually bake them at 350°F as suggested, but sometimes I adjust the uncovered time depending on how crispy I want the edges. For an extra touch, I occasionally drizzle a little of my favorite barbecue or sister sauce before baking, which adds an additional layer of tanginess and depth. Serving these chops with simple sides like steamed veggies or mashed potatoes makes for a quick, satisfying meal. Overall, this recipe is a great weeknight dinner solution that feels special with minimal effort. If you’re a fan of garlic and slightly sweet, caramelized pork, this dish will definitely become a staple in your meal rotation.
