Don’t rush into parenthood

1. TIME FOR EDUCATION & CAREER🎓📚

I was able to work side jobs, go to school & get my degree. My husband was able to attend school too & land a high paying job. If we had a baby right after getting married it would have been harder & longer to achieve this goals.

2. FREEDOM IN OUR EARLY 20s🥂✈️

In our teenage years we have the desire & freedom to do exciting things but lack money, as a young adult we have the money but if you rush into having kids you won’t have the freedom to do those things.

We had the freedom to travel, party, go on spontaneous adventures & do whatever we wanted when we wanted. We don’t feel like we “missed out”.

Not that you can’t do all of those things after having kids, but it will require more planning, money & sitters.

3. FINANCIAL STABILITY💰💸

Kids are expensive; diapers, food, doctors visit & so much more. When you’re having to pay for all of those things plus your own living expenses it’s demanding & stressful.

We had time to build a savings account, buy a home, pay off cars & pay off most of our debt before having kids & made our parenthood experience much more enjoyable because we aren’t always stressing about money.

4. EMOTIONAL STABILITY 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒🏡

Get to know yourself & your partner in a deeper level before having kids.

It takes years to REALLY know someone, you don’t want to rush having a baby with someone just to find out in a couple months/years that person is not a reliable parent or partner.

You’re also more mature & equipped with more knowledge to better raise your children

... Read moreChoosing when to have children is a significant decision that impacts many areas of life. By waiting to start a family until later in life, you have the opportunity to gain the stability needed to provide a nurturing environment. Firstly, pursuing education and establishing a career can lead to greater financial security, allowing you to create a comfortable home and meet the expenses of raising children without constant stress. With personal finances in order, parents can focus more on the joy of parenting rather than the burdens that often accompany child-rearing. Additionally, the freedom enjoyed in the early twenties can contribute significantly to personal development. Travel, exploration, and leisure time can help shape individuals, ultimately fostering healthier relationships and a stronger foundation for family life. It's crucial to understand your partner deeply before bringing children into the mix. Years spent together can reveal compatibility and readiness for parenting responsibilities. Emotional maturity plays a vital role in effective co-parenting, ensuring that both partners feel equipped to face the challenges of raising children. In conclusion, taking time before parenthood allows for growth, stability, and the creation of a nurturing atmosphere for children, ensuring that when the time is right, you are ready to embrace the beautiful journey of parenthood.
