If you could give younger you one piece of advice
I have four daughters. This picture was taken a few years ago. I always come back to it when I’m really thinking about what I wish for their lives. Sometimes it’s a prayer and blessing over something they are walking through. Most days, I’m just praying that they are wrapped in a bubble of love and protection.
We raise our girls to be confident, outspoken, yet empathetic and loving. I like to believe that I have my own unique relationship with each one of my girls. But some nights when I’m in bed I find myself wondering if I poured enough love and support into each of them that day. If you could give younger you one piece of advice, what would it be?

As parents, we often find ourselves pondering what wisdom we wish to pass on to our children. This thought brings us to reflect on our own journeys. Engaging with our past can provide valuable insights that help inform how we guide the next generation. In this light, consider writing letters to your younger self; what advice would you impart? Would it be to follow your passions without fear, or to embrace every moment fully? In today’s world, mental health, self-love, and fostering resilience are crucial. By cultivating a nurturing environment filled with open communication and certainty, we empower our children to pursue their goals and develop their individuality. Remember that parenting indeed takes a village; the shared experiences of supportive networks are invaluable. Encouraging discussions around dreams, setbacks, and triumphs fosters a resilient outlook in our kids. After all, it’s the relationships we build, the lessons we share, and the love we express that shape both our children’s confidence and our personal growth. Reflecting on these aspects not only enriches our lives but also sets a foundation for unparalleled support as they navigate their paths.
