Opened the window
You know that feeling, right? When you're cooped up inside, and it almost feels like it hurts to breathe, like the air itself is heavy and stale? I've definitely been there. There are days when I just feel overwhelmed, or my head gets foggy, and no amount of stretching or coffee seems to help. It's in those moments that I remember the simplest, yet most effective, trick: just open a window. It sounds almost too easy, but the difference it makes is incredible. The moment that fresh air rushes in, it's like a reset button for my entire being. Suddenly, that feeling of 'it hurts to breathe' subsides, replaced by a sense of clarity and calm. It’s not just about getting oxygen; it’s about refreshing your environment and, in turn, your mind. Let me share why I think this simple act is so powerful. Firstly, fresh air improves indoor air quality. Our homes can trap pollutants from cleaning products, cooking, and even our furniture. Opening your windows regularly helps to flush out these stale, potentially irritating particles. Secondly, it's a huge mood booster. There's something undeniably uplifting about a gentle breeze and the sounds of the outside world. It helps reduce stress and can even improve focus when you're working or studying. Thirdly, for anyone battling that 'stuffy' feeling, it provides instant relief. I've noticed that when I'm feeling anxious or overwhelmed, the physical act of opening a window and taking a deep breath of fresh air can ground me almost immediately. So, when should you open your windows? I try to do it first thing in the morning to air out the house and welcome the day. I also make sure to open them after cooking, especially if I've made something smelly! And, of course, anytime I feel that familiar discomfort where it feels like it hurts to breathe, or I just need a mental break. Even just for 10-15 minutes can make a world of difference. If you can, try to create a cross-breeze by opening windows on opposite sides of your home. Just remember to keep safety and security in mind, especially if you have pets or small children. This simple habit has become a cornerstone of my daily well-being routine. It’s a reminder that sometimes the best solutions are the most straightforward. So, next time you feel a bit off, or like you're struggling for a fresh breath, remember this little tip: just open a window. You might be surprised by how much better you feel.

Jesus loves you!! God IS your best friend and he IS watching over you. He does NOT hate you. He LOVES you SOOOO much. Somedays it may feel impossible to not let these thoughts and feelings and circumstances get to you, but you can get through this. You are strong and seen. Jesus died for you and he loves you so much and he has a plan for you, even when it doesn’t feel like it. You might be wondering why you’re struggling but it’s only to shape you into a stronger person. Jeremiah 29:11 New International Version “11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Again, God knows what you will do. Yet, he still loves you and he has beautiful plans for you. Sometimes in order to get to where God wants you, you are going to feel pain and you are going to go through trails, such as right now. However, this only allows you to preserve and grow into the person God wants you to become. No temptation or trial is too great for you. God provides strength and refuge and you will get through this trial and the next and so forth. 1 Corinthians 10:13 New International Version “13 No temptation[a] has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful;he will not let you be tempted[b] beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted,[c] he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” James 1:2-4 New International Version “2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a]whenever you face trials of many kinds,3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” God sees you and you are not alone. He created you and he knows exactly who you are. He sees you for the heart that is within you. He calls you by name.
