The food was good, the service was not

So I went to Chili's this evening and did not have a great experience. I got my food and drink but no straw and no napkin and the server disappeared until it was time to go. No refills, I had to get someone else to refill my drink. So I won't be going back.

Missing basic items like a straw and a napkin upon arrival was the first indication that service was lacking. Even after receiving my order, the server was nowhere to be found when I needed assistance, which made the dining experience frustrating. One important element of dining out is attentive service that makes guests feel valued and comfortable. In this case, the absence of drink refills without being offered and the need to seek help from another staff member disrupted the flow of the meal. It’s understandable that busy restaurants can occasionally be understaffed or overwhelmed, but continuous neglect like this often results in guests deciding not to return. From a personal standpoint, I believe that the combination of great food and attentive service should go hand in hand to create a positive dining experience. While Chili's delivered on taste, the lack of prompt and thoughtful service was a deal breaker for me. To any potential visitors, I would recommend ensuring management addresses these service gaps to match the quality of their food. In today’s restaurant environment, where customer reviews heavily impact business reputation, consistent and courteous service can be as crucial as the food itself. This experience served as a reminder of how much service quality matters for customer satisfaction. Hopefully, Chili’s takes feedback like this seriously and improves the overall guest experience, because their food certainly deserves it.
