Kris, Spamton, and Jevil

Wow, it's wild looking back at how much my art has grown, especially with my favorite trio from Deltarune: Kris, Spamton, and Jevil! I wanted to share a bit more about my journey creating these pieces, hoping it inspires some of you fellow fans or even just gives you a closer look at my process. My first piece, from September 2023, was all about capturing their individual vibes. I remember experimenting with those vibrant neon colors against a deep purple background, trying to make the geometric patterns pop. Kris holding their sword, Jevil floating with that mischievous grin, and a tiny Spamton with his signature text bubbles – it was a blast bringing that dynamic to life. I was really focused on a clean, stylized manner, which I think came through in that initial artwork. By November 2023, I felt a bit more confident. For that piece, I really leaned into creating an atmosphere. I loved sketching Kris with that pink sword, flanked by a floating Jevil and giving Spamton some wings, set against a dramatic purple cityscape. It felt like I was telling a bigger story, even within a single frame. The energy of these characters really pushes me to try new things with backgrounds and composition. Then, fast forward to November 2024, and my latest rendition! I pushed for something even more dynamic and energetic. Kris, with that iconic red heart on their chest, ready for action with their sword, Jevil wielding his weapon with that chaotic glee, and Spamton just bursting with laughter – it truly felt like an energetic composition. Connecting them with those bold red lines against the blue background was my way of showing their intertwined destinies and the sheer chaos they bring to Deltarune. Every time I draw them, I find new details to obsess over, like Jevil's expressions or Kris's determined stance. What draws me to Kris, Spamton, and Jevil for fanart? Kris, as our silent protagonist with so much hidden depth, is always a joy to interpret. Spamton, with his hilarious dialogue and tragic backstory, offers endless possibilities for expressive poses and vibrant colors. And Jevil? He's pure chaos, making him incredibly fun to draw in any scenario, especially when he's laughing! The intricate designs and personalities of these characters from Deltarune just make them perfect subjects for fan art. Seeing how other artists depict them also sparks my creativity, and I often find myself thinking about how to make my own version unique. It’s been so rewarding to see my art evolve, especially when tackling such complex and beloved figures.
