Six Months After Ayahuasca

It’s been six months since my last ayahuasca ceremony.

In the first six months of my journey, I went to three retreats.

In the last six months, life became the ceremony itself.

I wasn’t purging in a maloca. I was being ripped away from every old version of myself that no longer belonged to who I am becoming.

And the effect is still moving through me… quietly, deeply, relentlessly.

People tell me I’m strong.

They say I have courage.

And yes: I do.

But what most people don’t see is the thing underneath it all:

My burning desire for evolution.

Because when you have that, when you are committed to becoming more than the person you were yesterday, courage becomes automatic.

Evolution and courage work together.

One opens the door, the other walks through it.

And I’m not done evolving.

Not even close.

Six months after attending multiple retreats, the true work often continues beyond the ceremonial space — as the individual integrates insights into everyday life. This ongoing evolution can mean letting go of outdated thought patterns, emotional blocks, and even identities that no longer serve one's higher purpose. Integration practices, such as journaling, mindful meditation, or coaching, help embed the lessons learned from the ceremony. Often, the inner shifts manifest as a stronger desire for self-improvement and a greater sense of courage to face challenges with openness and vulnerability. Ayahuasca's effect can quietly work beneath the surface, altering perspectives and encouraging a more authentic way of living. It's important to recognize that this process isn't always linear; there may be struggles and moments of uncertainty. However, commitment to growth allows courage and evolution to work hand in hand — one opening the door, the other stepping forward. For many, this means continually shedding old versions of the self and embracing new levels of excellence and awareness. Ultimately, the journey after ayahuasca is an ongoing ceremony within life itself, inviting a profound personal renaissance that extends far beyond the initial experience.
