Why I’m truly grateful
1. I’m grateful because I didn’t quit on myself when life got uncomfortable.
There were months I was tired, confused, or overwhelmed, yet I kept showing up.
Not perfectly. But consistently.
2. I’m grateful because I finally started choosing peace over people.
I stopped trying to save everyone.
I stopped explaining myself to the wrong ones.
I stopped forcing connections that didn’t feel good anymore.
3. I’m grateful for the few people who showed real support.
Not the ones who talk big.
The ones who actually stand next to me, help me, message me, ask about me, show up.
Quality over numbers, this year proved that.
4. I’m grateful for the clarity that came through hard moments.
Some situations disappointed me.
Some people revealed themselves.
It hurt, but it also cleaned my life.
5. I’m grateful because I learned to trust myself more than opinions.
I stopped looking outside for permission.
I started listening to my own voice. The one I ignored for too many years.
6. I’m grateful for the small things I never acknowledged before.
A quiet morning.
A glass of water.
A good breath.
Feeling safe in my own space.
These things matter more than anyone knows.
7. I’m grateful for the strength I didn’t ask for but earned.
This year forced me to grow up emotionally… again.
But I’m stronger, calmer, and wiser because of it.
8. I’m grateful for the chances life gave me to start over in certain areas.
Career.
Relationships.
Mindset.
Identity.
I’m building differently now, not from desperation, but from awareness.
9. I’m grateful because I can feel myself becoming more grounded as I get closer to 40.
Less impressed.
Less reactive.
Less tolerant of bullshit.
More connected to what’s real.
10. I’m grateful that I’m not who I used to be.
Not emotionally.
Not mentally.
Not spiritually.
Growth cost me a lot, but staying the same would’ve cost me everything.
Happy Thanksgiving!
