Learning to Hold What Life Wants to Give Me
One year ago, on February 21st, I was sitting in my second ayahuasca retreat.
One of those nights, I found myself at a crossroads.
Not metaphorically, but deeply, internally.
I felt that a direction had to be chosen.
In the last month, many things in my life fell apart.
And for the first time… I didn’t resist.
I didn’t chase.
I didn’t try to fix.
I didn’t force anything to stay.
I simply let it leave my life, making space for a new beginning that is unfolding with unexpected ease.
I can feel that this year things will accelerate for me, but in a different way than before.
Not through pushing, but through alignment.
And I also recognize something honestly: this version of me is still learning how to hold the level of abundance that life is starting to offer.
So I made another decision.
I booked my fourth ayahuasca retreat for next month.
Because as the energy shifts, both in the sky and in consciousness, my body is asking to release old attachments too, not just my mind.
This is not about escape.
It’s about capacity.
About becoming someone who can receive without fear and move forward without holding onto what no longer belongs.
And this time… I’m not choosing a direction from pressure. I’m choosing it from peace.
From my personal experience attending ayahuasca retreats, I’ve learned that true growth often comes from surrender rather than control. Like Daniela, who found herself at a deep crossroads, these experiences challenge you to let go of the parts of your life that no longer serve you. It’s not always easy, especially when so much feels uncertain or falls apart around you. One of the powerful lessons is learning to hold abundance without fear. Before, I may have pushed or forced situations to work out a certain way, trying to fix or chase outcomes. But through this process, I've come to realize that alignment—being in tune with your true self and the energy around you—is more effective and fulfilling. It’s about creating space internally and externally for new opportunities, rather than clinging to what’s comfortable but no longer fits. Ayahuasca, in particular, facilitates this release by helping you confront deep-seated attachments and fears. It’s a healing journey that integrates both mind and body, prompting a natural release of old patterns. The shifts in consciousness and energy often lead to a sense of peace, which becomes a foundation for making decisions without pressure or anxiety. I've noticed that as I deepen my practice and understanding, my capacity to receive joy and abundance expands. This is a continual learning process—one that teaches patience and acceptance. The key takeaway is not to resist what life presents but to embrace it fully, trusting that new beginnings, no matter how unexpected, hold transformative potential. This mindset shift has profoundly impacted my personal and spiritual growth, and I encourage anyone feeling stuck to explore these themes of surrender, acceptance, and alignment in their own lives.
