Life really does start at 40.
Life really does start at 40.
I spent 39 years researching life, experiencing life, sometimes even being afraid of life… and now I finally feel ready to actually live it.
The first step was simple, but not easy: showing up exactly as I am.
In business: as a professional who takes her work, presence, and performance seriously.
With friends: as real support, someone who stands beside you no matter which direction your life is moving.
In my personal life: as a woman who now has clear standards for how she deserves to be treated.
And yes… I also learned something important about energy.
If you remove yourself from my life, and from my friends list but still want a window into it through my stories, that door is closed too. And yes, are people who are doing that.
The differences between us is once i decided to remove you from my life, you are not staying or coming back to me. It’s that simple.
I don’t need half-presence or silent spectators around me, not even on social media.
My 40s are about cleaning.
Cleaning what’s around me.
Cleaning what’s inside me.
Making space for a life that finally feels mine.
And this… is how I begin living.
Turning 40 often feels like a pivotal moment—a time to reflect, reset, and renew your approach to life. From personal experience, I can say that embracing your 40s brings a unique clarity about who you are and what you truly want. It’s a decade where you begin to honor your boundaries more fiercely and make conscious choices about the people and energy you allow in your life. Many people in their 40s find themselves clearing away the noise—be it toxic relationships, unfulfilling habits, or doubts about their worth—to focus on what genuinely brings joy and fulfillment. This process of "cleaning" is both external and internal. It means letting go of social media distractions, setting firm limits with others, and prioritizing authentic connections. Career-wise, this stage often ushers in a renewed sense of purpose and professionalism. You approach your work with seriousness but also with a balanced perspective, understanding the importance of presence and performance without sacrificing personal well-being. An essential aspect of living fully at 40 is managing your energy wisely. It’s about recognizing who supports you and who drains you, and having the confidence to close doors that don’t serve your growth anymore. This mindset frees up space for new opportunities, relationships, and experiences that align with your evolving identity. Ultimately, life at 40 feels like finally coming home to yourself—being unapologetically real, setting clear standards for how you deserve to be treated, and embracing a new cycle of life with optimism and openness. The lessons learned along the way become invaluable guides as you step boldly into this exciting chapter.
