Iced lattes are so easy and simple to make at home and most of the time you don’t need any fancy espresso machines!
I used a Nespresso machine, but recently I bought the Nescafé Gold Blonde Instant Espresso and it is just as delicious and easy to make! All you do is add water and the rest of your ingredients! 💛
One of my favorite recipes to make:
- 2 teaspoons instant espresso
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- dash of cinnamon
- milk of choice
Then you have a delicious Teddy Graham iced latte! 🧸
Making iced lattes at home is not only enjoyable but also perfect for customizing to your taste preferences. I’ve found that using instant espresso powders like Nescafé Gold Blonde offers a rich flavor that rivals traditional espresso machines, making it incredibly convenient for those who want great coffee without a fuss. One tip I always recommend is to dissolve the instant espresso in warm water first to ensure you get a smooth base without any clumps. Adding natural sweeteners like honey and brown sugar balances the bitterness and adds a comforting sweetness, while a dash of cinnamon introduces a spicy warmth, enhancing the drink’s complexity. When it comes to milk, the choice is truly yours—whether dairy or plant-based options like almond or oat milk. Each type provides a different creaminess and flavor profile to the latte. For an extra touch, I like to add ice cubes made from brewed coffee instead of water so the drink stays strong and flavorful as the ice melts. This homemade iced latte adapts well for different occasions—whether as a refreshing midday pick-me-up or a cozy beverage to enjoy on a warm afternoon. Plus, it’s budget-friendly and reduces the need for frequent coffee shop visits. Overall, crafting your own iced latte at home turns coffee time into a delightful little ritual. You can experiment with different spices like nutmeg or vanilla extract, or even add a splash of caramel for a treat. It’s a great way to personalize your coffee while enjoying the freshness and satisfaction of a drink made by your own hands.
