Many of you have asked how I managed to lose 70+ pounds in just 10 months, and honestly, it feels like a dream sometimes! My journey wasn't about quick fixes; it was about a complete lifestyle overhaul, driven by a deep desire for better health and confidence. Here’s a peek into what truly worked for me. First, it started with a mindset shift. I stopped viewing it as a diet and started seeing it as a permanent change. I focused on nourishing my body with whole, unprocessed foods. This meant leaning heavily into lean proteins like chicken and fish, loading up on fiber-rich vegetables, and swapping sugary drinks for water. Meal prepping became my best friend – having healthy options ready to go prevented me from making impulsive, less healthy choices when hunger struck. It really helped me stay on track, especially during busy workweeks. Movement was another huge component. I didn't start with intense workouts. I began with daily walks, slowly increasing my pace and duration. As I got stronger, I incorporated light strength training a few times a week. The goal wasn't to punish myself, but to find activities I enjoyed and could stick with. Consistency, not perfection, was key. Even on days when I didn't feel like it, I'd tell myself, 'Just 20 minutes,' and often, those short sessions turned into longer, more fulfilling ones. One of the most motivating aspects wasn't just the number on the scale, but the non-scale victories.
