I found the new Heinz global inspired sauces and had to do a taste test! Here is my honest ranking & rating of the flavors I picked up.
✨ Greek Inspired Garlic Herb (10/10): Hands down my absolute favorite. It’s lemony, herby, and perfectly garlicky. I’m already planning all the meals I can pair this with!
🥩 Steakhouse Garlic Mayonnaise (6/10): If you love heavy garlic, this is for you. It was almost a little overwhelming for a fry dip, but it would be amazing spread on a steak sandwich.
🌽 Mexican Inspired Street Corn (6/10): Tastes exactly like everything that goes on street corn, just without the actual corn. Super flavorful and would make a great drizzle over a taco bowl!
All of these were $2.98 and 110 calories per serving!
Have you spotted these at your grocery store yet? Which flavor would you try first?
... Read moreOkay, so I was so excited to get my hands on the new Heinz global-inspired sauces, and let me just say, the hype is real for at least one of them! You know how sometimes you try a new product and it just *clicks*? That's exactly how I felt about the Greek-Inspired Garlic Herb sauce. Seriously, if you've been wondering about it, stop wondering and go find it!
From the moment I cracked open the bottle, I was hit with this incredible aroma. It's truly lemony, herby, and perfectly garlicky, just like the description says, and the OCR confirms it! It's not just a subtle hint; it’s a vibrant burst of Mediterranean flavors. I originally tried it as a fry dip, and it was glorious – so much brighter and more complex than your typical ketchup or mayo. But honestly, that was just the beginning of its potential.
I've started exploring all the ways to incorporate this 10/10 sauce into my meals. Here are a few ideas I've tried or am planning:
Marinade Magic: Forget plain chicken! I marinated some chicken breasts in the Greek Garlic Herb sauce for about an hour before grilling, and they turned out incredibly tender and full of flavor. The acidity from the lemon also helps tenderize the meat.
Sandwich & Wrap Upgrade: Move over, boring mayo! This sauce is a game-changer for sandwiches and wraps. I spread a generous layer on a turkey and provolone sandwich, and it instantly elevated it. It would be amazing in a Mediterranean-style wrap with grilled veggies and feta.
Roasted Veggies' Best Friend: Toss your potatoes, zucchini, bell peppers, or broccoli with a spoonful of this sauce before roasting. It caramelizes beautifully and infuses the vegetables with that delightful garlicky, herby goodness.
Pasta Sauce Base: I haven't tried this yet, but I'm thinking of whisking some into a simple olive oil-based pasta sauce with cherry tomatoes and spinach. I bet it would add a fantastic fresh kick.
Dipping Beyond Fries: While it's great with fries, imagine it with warm pita bread, grilled halloumi, or even as a base for a homemade tzatziki-style dip by mixing it with some Greek yogurt.
Now, let's quickly touch on the other two, because while they weren't my absolute favorites, they still have their moments. The Steakhouse Garlic Mayonnaise was definitely heavy on the garlic, almost overwhelmingly so for a fry dip, as I mentioned in my initial review. But I can totally see it shining on a hearty steak sandwich or even as a bold spread for a burger. It's for serious garlic lovers! And the Mexican-Inspired Street Corn sauce really does capture that street corn vibe – creamy, tangy, and a little spicy. It would be fantastic drizzled over taco bowls or even as a creative dressing for a Southwest salad.
But really, the star of the show for me is the Heinz Greek Garlic Herb sauce. It’s so versatile and truly brings a fresh, vibrant flavor profile to so many dishes. If you see it at your grocery store, grab it! At $2.98, it's a small price to pay for such a big flavor impact. I’m already planning my next grocery run to stock up!
street corn sounds fire! 😋
